Here’s an interesting trailer for Ubisoft’s next big first person shooter, Far Cry 2. It more or less describes what the player will experience and how Ubisoft Montreal attempts to make this game attractive to all types of first person shooter players as well as creating a realistic and versatile environment to play in. They also go on to say that they actually travelled to Africa and camped out in the wilderness in order to experience the country in order to get a very personal experience with the locale. Now that what I would call a dedicated developer, folks.
Today Ubisoft has announced a brand new Prince of Persia game for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC which is stated for release this holiday season. And not only that, Ubisoft is proclaiming that this game will “rejuvenate the action-adventure genre” with a “new breed of gameplay”. Ubisoft Montreal will be developing the new Prince of Persia game. This is the same studio that created the mega-hit Assassin’s Creed and the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy for the last generation systems. The DS will get it’s own rendition of the game with exclusive content.
Ubisoft today announced that it has made an agreement with Gameloft to acquire its Pune, India-based development studio.
The studio was established in 2006, and has a strong team of 120 developers and testers - who will from now on focus on porting titles to handhelds and reinforcing Ubisoft’s testing teams.
A code is floating around the internet that allows access to a downloadable map for this week’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2, as far as I’m aware this works fine on Xbox 360 but not sure about the PS3 version. Hit the jump for what to do.
