Logitech today announced record-breaking Q4 sales and profit numbers, for the company’s 10th consecutive year of revenue growth.
“We are very pleased with our Q4 performance, including our return to growth in the video category,” said Logitech CEO,Gerald Quindlen.
“Our revenue growth of 17 per cent underscores the strength of our product portfolio and our geographic diversity, both key factors in our ability to deliver consistent growth over the last decade.”
We’ve known for a while now, Blu-ray won the format war and HD DVD lost.
Sure, but not until today was the format officially dissolved. The HD DVD Promo group very recently sent out a note to its consumers, revealing that it will cease to exist from now on.
The latest data from research firm HMR has revealed that over 9 million Blu-ray movies have been sold in the US, ever since the launch of the format.

Today Sony Marketing unveiled a brand new video service aimed at Internet users, slated for a March 31st Launch.
Named Branco, the service will offer video content, such as documentaries, dramas, cartoons, anime for Japanese markets. Users are required to download a special ‘branco player’ application to view and watch the content.
Following Blu-ray’s recent victory over HD DVD in the high-definition format war, Sony has announced that it is planning to invest over USD 110$ in new equipment and improvements in order to upgrade its Blu-ray plant Terra Haute.
According to Daily Times, the company will spend approximately $100 million on equipment, and up to $10 million on property improvements.
