Cross Over RPG In The Works

Five developers have stepped up to the plate to bring Japan what could potentially be one of the best cross over games to date, Cross Edge. We reported earlier with some scans but now some details are available for the rest of us not able to read Japanese. Similar to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, this game will feature worlds based on Disgaea and Dark Stalkers to name a pair. This game is currently slated only for a Japanese PS3 release but with the popularity of games like Kingdom Hearts, we may not be far from hearing a US release schedule.

New World Destruction RPG Screens

In even more Famitsu news, the magazine has published three new scans containing screenshots and some non-translated details from SEGA’s upcoming RPG for the DS.

With the game’s scenario written by Masato Kato (FFVII, Chrono Cross, Xenogears), and a score by famed composer Yasunori Mitsuda (Xenogears, Chrono Chross), I have high expectations for this game.

Opoona Gameplay

I remember reading about Opoona a while back, almost a year ago to be exact. Opoona is Koei’s Wii exclusive RPG.  This game is, what one would call, obnoxiously cute. I may be absent minded but I can’t think of any traditional RPGs that are on the market for the Wii today. Is this the first? It certainly does seem to follow other successful Wii games by attempting to cater to a broad audience, at least aesthetically.
