Free Rock Band Tracks Through Cross Promotion

For fans of Disturbed, if you happen to be considering pre-ordering their soon to be released album then you may want to know that Best Buy is offering a pair of unreleased track for your pre-order.  These tracks will not be available until the album is released.

Also of note is that for South Park fans, the 11th Season DVD set also comes with a 3 track download available courtesy of MTV.  The tracks are unspecified, but free, so who can really complain right?

Rock Band A Rip Off?

Well, now the good news of the games release date is over, EA have now announced the pricing structure for Rock Band. Here is how it will work:

Rock Band Instrument Edition (Drum Kit, 1 x Guitar, Microphone, no game) - £129.99
Rock Band game - £49.99
Wireless guitar - £59.99
Drum Kit - £69.99

No news on whether you can buy a Microphone separate though. But that is ridiculous in order to get what the Americans have (Rock Band game, Drum Kit, 1 x Guitar and Microphone) we are expected to fork out £180 compared to their $169 (roughly £85)

Rock Band Gets Euro Release Date

According to Eurogamer, EA’s Rock Band will be released on 23rd May on Xbox 360, with the PS3, PS2 and Wii versions to appear later in the summer due to a timed exclusivity deal with Microsoft.

Rock Band will have extra songs in Europe from the likes of Blur, Oasis and Die Toten Hosen, whilst all the DLC currently available in the US will also be available as of the 27th May.

Finally, the US and Europe will receive content updates at the same time from that date forward.

Rockband European Release Date Coming

Rockband may not have been released in Europe yet, but it is definitely coming. And quite possibly very soon too.

According to Yahoo, Harmonix is planning to make an official announcement regarding the game’s European release date tomorrow at a London event - as well as revealing new details on the rumoured EU-exlcusive tracks.

Rockband DLC On XBLM Next Week

A small reminder to you Rock Band fans, there will be new content to download this coming Tuesday, on February 26th.  Originally slated for a March release, the package of songs from Nine Inch Nails might interest you.

- Nine Inch Nails – “March of the Pigs” (master)
- Nine Inch Nails – “The Collector” (master)
- Nine Inch Nails – “The Perfect Drug” (master)

You can buy these songs individually if you want, it’ll cost you a mere 160 LIVE Points. Alternatively you could purchase the entire package for 440 points.

Portal Song Coming To Rock Band

If you ever completed Portal,  you probably noticed the beautifully composed song that played during the end credits.

Now developer Harmonix has decided to team up with Valve to bring you the song to the wonderful instrumental game Rock Band. The song was apparently demonstrated at a GDC08 after-party as a special preview for those lucky enough to be there.

Target Offering $149 Rock Band Bundle

Still haven’t purchased Rock Band? Too expensive? Well, here’s good news for you.
