Mario Kart Wii’s success is evident, as the Nintendo racer maintains it number #1 spot on the charts. Mario & Sonic At the Olympics still refuse to give up, and can to be found at #2.

Following closely behind at #3, is Polyphony’s Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. While no detailed sales figures have been released so far, we’re guessing the title has moved bucketloads of units.

GT5: Prologue Sells 374,000 In 48 Hours

The latest European sales numbers have been published for the week ending march 29, 2008, and reveal that Gran Turismo 5: Prologue managed to move 374,607 Blu-ray disc units in only 48 hours.

These figures do not include the 1 million pre-orders that were made prior to the game’s launch, or the PSN purchase numbers.

Not bad for a demo.

Sony Comments On GT5: Prologue PSN Delay

We reported just a little while ago that Gran Turismo 5: Prologue had missed its digitial PSN launch.

Now Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has released an official statement revealing that the game was only delayed due to a series of “technical difficulties.”

Well that’s good to know, the game should indeed be available pretty soon then!

GT5: Prologue Misses PSN Launch

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue was scheduled for a PSN release yesterday, but for some reason it is nowhere to be found. Sony has yet to make any comments on this, but hopefully the game can be downloaded digitally very soon.

The Blu-ray disc version of the game is already available at retailers across Europe. Priced at £24.99, this massive ‘demo’ features 71 cars and six tracks, and should be enough to keep you busy for quite some time.
