According to Chart-Track, the Xbox 360 has now sold close to 2 million in the UK.
Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Chart-Track director Dorian Bloch stated: “We are very close to clocking through 2 million Xbox 360s in the UK. It should be next week.”
The console launched in the UK back in December 2005, and hit the 1 million mark after 60 weeks.

This week’s UK software charts are in, and unsurprisingly the recently launched Gran Turismo 5: Prologue debuts at #1, followed by Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.
GT5: Prologue has already become the fastest selling PS3 title in one week, and the 19th best-selling overall game for the console.
