Five developers have stepped up to the plate to bring Japan what could potentially be one of the best cross over games to date, Cross Edge. We reported earlier with some scans but now some details are available for the rest of us not able to read Japanese. Similar to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, this game will feature worlds based on Disgaea and Dark Stalkers to name a pair. This game is currently slated only for a Japanese PS3 release but with the popularity of games like Kingdom Hearts, we may not be far from hearing a US release schedule.
Kotaku has just published some scans from Famitsu of new PS3 RPG called Cross Edge. The game is a turn based RPG featuring characters from a variety of companies such as Capcom and Bandai that come from classsi games like Disgaea and Darkstalkers. The game is slated for it’s Japanese release in September.
Capcom is now offering to send anyone who purchased Ōkami a free replacement cover art insert sans the IGN logo watermark that accidentally found it’s way onto the original cover.
If you don’t want the original cover art design, Capcom also has available two pieces of art that can be substituted for the cover.
PS3Style.com has received a fresh pre-release copy of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for the PlayStation 3, and can report that this game, much like Devil May Cry 4, requires a 5GB installation on your HDD.
The installation process takes about 15-20 minutes, and will improve some aspects of the game, we don’t know exactly what though.
The question is, will all future PS3 titles from Capcom require an installation? We’ll get back to you when we get an answer.
