According to early sales numbers, the massively anticipated (In Japan) Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G may have sold over 670,000 copies at launch.
Apparently 652,000 stand-alone copies of the game were sold, along with 17,000 PSP bundles. This effectively means the game sold more than the original Monster Hunter Portable, which moved half a million at launch.
These figures haven’t been confirmed yet, but considering the game is nowhere to be found in Japan at the moment, they could very well be accurate.
